Kona Kamps is Back

We are very happy to be back. We tried to make it through Covid. We tried to cover virtual racing on trainers at home. But what was the point? So we pulled the plug.

But then we started hanging around the Slowtwitch news room. Lilias published a couple think pieces on qualifying for Kona.

And then it happened. We always said the podcast would end if and when Lilias won her age group at an Ironman 140.6 mile triathlon. She did just that at the last Ironman Arizona in November, 2025 and now, instead of finishing the podcast we use this joyous occasion to come back.

The podcast won't change much. We still will only interview winners. We still only care about the "full" Ironman distance. We still want to understand what motivates people to commit their lives and time to the pursuit of excellence in sport. This sport. Ironman.
